About the Group
This workshop-style group invites short story and prose writers from the Kansas City area and the Midwest for insight, critique, and support. All writers will have workshop/ BA-MFA-level creative writing experience and are willing to provide constructive advice to one another. Ideally, writers—normally their worst critics—will have specific queries during monthly meetings (perhaps twice a month) for editorial and constructive feedback. The intent is to find literary short fiction writers in the K.C. area to meet in person, but this group can meet online. The focus is for the writer to gain insight into whether or not their words reveal an aesthetic narrative as intended.
