Poets & Writers Groups strives to be a safe space where writers, translators, readers, and literary citizens of all kinds can come together to connect, communicate, and collaborate with creativity, open-mindedness, and respect for all.
Every member of Poets & Writers Groups must abide by simple guidelines that prioritize honesty, safety, integrity, and privacy for this community. Poets & Writers reserves the right to remove any members who violate these guidelines.
- Poets & Writers will not tolerate hate speech or harassment of any kind. Examples of harassment include offensive comments related to one’s personal, professional, religious, or political identity; unwelcome comments regarding an individual’s lifestyle choices and practices; deliberate misgendering or using inappropriate pronoun; gratuitous or off-topic sexual images or behavior; threats of violence; incitements of violence towards any individual or group; deliberate intimidation; stalking or unwanted following, online or in the physical world; sustained disruption of a group’s discussion; unwelcomed sexual attention; and continued one-on-one communication after requests to cease.
- Members must respect the intellectual property rights of others. Posting content that violates another party’s intellectual property rights is prohibited. Content posted by another member is protected by that member’s intellectual property rights.
- Members are responsible for the information that is shared in their member profile and in any groups of which they are a member or an organizer.
- Members must be honest and transparent about who they are and their intentions. Groups or group organizers who require fees for workshops or coaching are not accepted. Impersonating another person is strictly prohibited.
- Members must be respectful of one another’s identities, political affiliations, and personal choices of all kinds.
- Members must be at least eighteen years of age.
