About the Group
North Jersey Sapphic Writers aims to provide a safe space for generative writing, discussion, accountability, and most importantly COMMUNITY for sapphic writers living in north NJ. While here we specifically pay attention to the wlw experience, all are welcome to join, make new friends, and dive deeper into their writing.
We will aim to meet monthly at a local coffeeshop/cafe where we will check in with each others' writing, have fun with a writing prompt or two, then provide time to concentrate on our individual writing, with a wrap-up discussion at the end. If there is expressed interest in workshop, we can discuss that, too.

About me: Hello! My name is Anna (she/her), and I am a literary/speculative writer living in Bergen County. I have over 6 years of formal education in creative writing, including my current pursuit of an MFA through Rutgers Newark. I wanted to form this group to create community for other sapphic/queer writers who may previously have had to go to NY/Newark/JC/Hoboken to find these kinds of spaces. I'm looking forward to meeting you all!
