CNY Writing Critique Group

The CNY Writing Critique Group is a long-running group based in the Syracuse NY area but open to members from elsewhere.  Our focus is on commercial and genre fiction, both short stories and novels.  Current members include writers of fantasy, horror, crime, and mainstream commercial fiction.  Previously, we have welcomed writers of YA and romance.

Since the pandemic, we have been meeting online via Discord every Wednesday at 7pm ET although some members like to sign on earlier to chat.  Works to be critiqued are shared in advance to facilitate meaningful discussion, and we generally limit our discussion to one piece of up to 5K words at each meeting.
